Abstract Submissions Close – Extended to Monday, 17 November 2025

The Organising Committee of SIOP Africa 2026 invites submissions of abstracts to be considered for presentation in the following formats:

• Oral Presentation: 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions (total of 15 minutes)
• Poster Presentation

Authors are requested to indicate their preference, but the final decision regarding presentation format will be made by the Scientific Committee.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

• Maximum of 300 words.
• No graphs or diagrams permitted.
• Provision has been made for Poster presentations.
• Note: All visuals shown must have informed consent. Speakers must declare any conflict of interest before starting their presentations.

Categories:

• MEDICAL: haematological malignancies (leukaemias and lymphomas), ocular oncology, neuro-oncology, solid tumours, rare tumours, implementation, and other.
• NURSING: late effects, psychosocial, other.
• CIVIL SOCIETY: early detection and registries, psychosocial, palliative care, other.

Abstract Structure:

• Introduction
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions

Abstracts not conforming to this format will be returned for correction.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

• Please use the format provided: use bold, sentence-case text for the abstract title, and provide the corresponding author’s email address in italicised text.
• Section headings should be in bold text.
• Limit the abstract to 300 words.
• No graphs or diagrams permitted.
• Note: All visuals shown must have informed consent. Speakers must declare conflict of interest before their presentation.
• Use superscript numbers to indicate author affiliations. All affiliations should contain the name of the department, faculty, university, city, and country.

ACCEPTANCE

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, which reserves the right to accept and allocate abstracts for either poster or oral presentation. All presenters of accepted abstracts must register as congress delegates, and the early registration fee will apply.
